Smoothen the neck and tighten the jawline for a more youthful profile

Named after the Egyptian Queen Nerfertiti, this treatment aims to tighten the jawline and smooth the neck. Qualities that are regarded as a sign of beauty.
What Is The Aim Of The Treatment?
The aim of this treatment is to target the platysma muscle. This is a large thin piece of muscle extending from the neck up into the lower part of the face. By relaxing the platysma, the neck appears tighter, the overlying skin appear smoother, and more lifted.
This is a non-invasive, effective, and convenient treatment for patients seeking a way to achieve mini-lift at the boundary between the jawline and the neck. Hence why is is also referred to a ‘Botox face lift’.
How Do I Know If I Am A Good Candidate For This Treatment?
Nurse Susie has found that the Nefertiti Lift tends to be the most effective among patients who lack significant neck fullness (double chin) and who have minimal skin laxity in their neck and jawline; excess fat deposits and droopy skin along the neck and jaw will likely obscure your results.
It’s also important to have reasonable expectations if you are considering a Nefertiti Lift, as results are intended to be subtle. If you have advanced skin laxity or submental fullness, surgical intervention may be needed to provide a more dramatic result.
It is best to book an appointment at SO Aesthetics Clinic Northern Ireland with Nurse Susie so she can undertake a thorough consultation and advise if this is the best treatment for you.
What Happens During The Procedure?
After a thorough consultation has been undertaken by Nurse Susie and the clinic prescriber Dr Keith we will clean and mark up the area. You will have several tiny injections into the platysma muscle along your jawline and upper neck. It may take between 10-12 injections on each side of your neck to achieve your desired result. This procedure is tolerated very well patients. Most report little to minimal discomfort.
Is There Any Downtime?
One of the major benefits of the Nefertiti Lift is that it has very minimal downtime, meaning it can be performed during your lunch break. Just be sure to avoid exercise for 24 hours after your treatment, and avoid massaging your treatment area.
What Are The Potential Side Effects Of The Treatment?
Side effects include:
- Bruising and pain at injection site
- Redness in treated area
- Headache
- Facial weakness
- Other muscle weakness leading to slurred speech, trouble swallowing, etc.
Side effects that occur are usually due to inaccurate injection techniques, which is why it is important to get the treatment done with a qualified and experienced practitioner.
How Long Before I See Results?
While the effects of the treatment should begin to take effect within a few days after your treatment with Nurse Susie, it can take a full 2 weeks to see your full Nefertiti Lift results.
